betrayal

Betrayal has been an unexpected and recurrent theme in my life in the past years. Whether it be within my personal life or on the geo-political stage I have felt a sense of that was once relied upon as being true, safe and steadfast no longer is. Sitting with this difficult emotion, I have found that when I allow these illusions of safety to dissolve, what remains is a deep, heart-centered knowing— that another, kinder, and more loving way into our collective future is possible. Without betrayal, and the disillusionment it brings, I would not have found the hopeful ground on which I now stand.
